A Tribute to Max Harrison

The band is saddened to announce the passing of one of our biggest supporters, Max Harrison.  Max was a good friend of Raymond Jeffery MBE, our long serving Musical Director, and continued to support the band under Kevin Spencer.  He was a true critic; honest, constructive, able to provide an opinion on what could be better and what he enjoyed the most but always supportive.   He will be sadly missed by all of the band.  We will treasure the memories of all the times he attended concerts and of the many times he joined us at the band room for rehearsals.  We have recorded his favourite piece, The Last Samurai in the hope that it will be played at his funeral later this month.
